Great Divide Ski Team

Introducing the Great Divide Ski Team Development Program The Great Divide Ski Team is offering skier development program for young athletes who would like an introduction into ski racing. The Development Program is specifically designed for advancing intermediate level skiers who have participated in the All Mountain program and have an interest in ski racing and additional instruction. The Great Divide Ski Team brings over 30 years of tradition and history to our community and our kids. We have the best coaching staff in the region, and we welcome all kids who love the sport of skiing!

• Personal ski coaching (small groups)
• Learn to ski all trails and terrain at Helena's Great Divide Ski Area
• Share the fun of skiing with other Helena kids
• Develop skills to ski anywhere
• Become a ski racer, if you wish

4 GREAT PROGRAMS
For kids 7-18, all skiing levels welcome

All Mountain Squad

This is our most popular program. The objective of this program is to learn to ski all terrain, with emphasis on developing accomplished skiers with the ability to ski anywhere with confidence and fun!

Coaches will lead the squad in skiing all trails at the Great Divide, with some off-trail skiing possible, and some gate training. Making good solid turns, sharing the fun of skiing with other Helena kids, and developing lifetime skills will be emphasized.

Development Program

The Great Divide Ski Team is offering skier development program for young athletes who would like an introduction into ski racing. The Development Program is specifically designed for advancing intermediate level skiers who have participated in the All Mountain program and have an interest in ski racing and additional instruction.

The Development Program is between the All Mountain Program and the Race Program in skill, commitment, and cost with the emphasis on strengthening fundamental skiing skills and the development of ski racers.

Race Team

There are 2 Race Squad Programs: The One-Day and Two-Day Racer.

All elements of Alpine racing will be taught by experienced coaches. Both programs include, a Christmas Camp, gate training and skill-improvement drills at the Great Divide, and coaching at races in the Northern Division. Weeknight training will be offered and coaching in other Division races may also be arranged.
